MEET YOUR GUIDES
SHAMANS OF PERU
The Andean Shamans are the living lineage holders of an ancient Incan shamanic line. They carry and preserve within them centuries of wisdom & knowledge of spiritual healing and connection to the Divine.
Peru Shamans is an organization of healers from the whole of the Andes (including the Amazon Jungle) who have preserved their ancient, mystic knowledge from Incan times. They have created exclusive healing and teaching programs — like the Inca Shaman School — where one can learn basic, intermediate and advanced techniques of how to work and interact with this world of Energy. All of their programs combine the Andean teaching, ceremonies and visits to sacred temples around Cusco city and the Sacred Valley .
The mission of the Peru Shamans is to share the authentic healing techniques of their ancestors and pass down the original way of the Healing and Energy work to new generations. Their practices facilitate a reverence for nature and profound connection with Pachamama (Mother earth) and to the Cosmos. Their goal is for the prophecy of TARPAY PACHA to be realized and to become beings of pure light (CHAKARUNAS - connectors of light energy) putting into practice the AYNI (reciprocity between one another) and MINKA (a community that strives together to perceive ourselves as part of the collective and not just an individual), and finally, to express the MUNAY (the love we have for ourselves and everything that surround us).
We’re here for you and happy to provide guidance from the very first moment of your journey. We’d love to jump on the phone with you to answer any and all questions! Just click below to schedule a time at your convenience.
THE TIME IS NOW
We’ve been in a period of stillness - suspended, stuck, waiting for the ground to unfreeze so we can stretch into our potential again. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Nothing in nature flourishes all the time. We, like the flowers in our gardens, have seasons. But, collectively, it has been a very long and dark winter.
We’ve carefully designed the experience with our wise partners, The Peru Shamans (of the Q’eros and Shipibo lineages) to re-energize, cleanse, remove blockages and ground you into your truth and your strength. This is a journey of healing, remembering and forgiveness…of planting the seeds for future blossoming and pruning the old parts of self that no longer serve your highest good.
This is an immersive leap into a world of magic, energy, ancestors and remembering. It is a celestial voyage back to the truth of who you are…designed to set you free to claim who you have always been - a Divine Being and one with All That Is. Here you will rediscover your belonging and your authentic essence. Here you will be liberated to discover your own path to your personal truth, vision and purpose. Using ancient modalities and surrounded by the healing Apu (mountain) you will embark on a profound spiritual journey.

PACHAMAMA DESPACHO OFFERING
One of the ceremonies you will experience during your trip is a Despacho Offering to Pachamama. The word “despacho” means “sending a message or care package” in Spanish and it’s an act of love that reminds us of the interconnectedness shared between all beings, elements, spirits, and sacred places. Despachos provide us with the opportunity to momentarily return to the essential unity with all that exists, with the living energy (Kawsay Pacha) of the Universe.
In the Q’ero wisdom lineage, the Despacho ceremony is the centerpiece of their spiritual and ritualistic heritage. When the locals go to see a Shaman, whether they go in search of better health, a more loving relationship, or healing from grief, the first thing often done is a Despacho.
Despacho rituals are designed to align, balance and harmonize the three levels of consciousness: Yankay (the physical universe), Yachay (the spirit or wisdom center), and Munay (the feeling or heart center).
AYAHAUSCA PLANT MEDICINE
Ayahuasca is an Amazonian plant mixture with an ancient history of use as a medicine and shamanic means of communication, dating back at least 2,500 years. A powerful teacher, Ayahuasca is a medicine capable of bringing about great physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing. She is reverently referred to as “Mother Ayahuasca” by those whose lives she has touched. As such, Ayahuasca is not intended for recreational use. She should be treated seriously and consumed in a ceremonial environment under the guidance of an experienced Shaman or Maestro who has had the wisdom of the lineage passed down through their ancestors.
The word Ayahuasca is derived from two Quechua words: aya meaning “spirit,” “soul,” or “ancestor,” and huasca meaning “vine” or “rope.” Thus, Ayahuasca is revered as “the vine of the soul.”
Indigenous traditions have worked with ayahuasca for thousands of years and have never viewed it as a quick fix or a recreational experience. However, Ayahuasca and the healing traditions of the Amazon are often able to offer a significant intervention into chronic emotional/psycho-spiritual imbalances and, sometimes, physical health conditions. It is fundamentally a transformational pathway to integrate and release the causes of pain and suffering.
Ayahuasca is a powerful cleansing and purifying medicine that can rid the body of physical impurities, the mind and body of emotional blockages and self-limiting fear-filled patterns that have accumulated over a lifetime, as well as retrieve fragmented aspects of one’s soul due to past traumatic events. The medicine is also a teacher who initiates or accelerates us into a lifelong journey of continual self-discovery, deep personal transformation, and remembrance of the divine within us all.
Ayahuasca journeys are an opportunity to rebalance, cleanse, and learn about your true self. You will need personal integrity and courage as you will face the whole of yourself, including “shadow aspects.” Although it is impossible to predict what you might experience with the medicine, it is essential to understand that Ayahuasca brings the experiences of your inner world into your conscious awareness; this includes the “shadows” within that lie at the root of disorder, imbalance, suffering and pain. We are deeply committed to providing a safe and caring environment to support you in anything that might arise.
The best way to approach Ayahuasca is to develop a relationship with the medicine and not seek to simply take the medicine. When working with Ayahuasca in a healthy manner, you enter into a relationship of reciprocity – receiving the healing and teachings, and giving back through taking responsibility for your “shadow,” a long-term commitment to change, courage to face your fears, and a willingness to find and offer your gifts to the world. True transformation, personal growth and evolution are marked by gradual and grounded changes requiring sustained conscious awareness and actualization.
San Pedro Plant Medicine Ceremony
For over 3,000 years, the spiritual leaders of the Andes Mountains in Peru have led San Pedro plant medicine ceremonies. This ancient healing ritual is a reunion with the self, Mother Nature, and the Divine. It breaks through self-created barriers and reconnects you to your heart. Discover the gentle, yet profound healing powers of San Pedro Ceremony, an ancient ritual and reawakening to move beyond self-limiting beliefs and reconnect with the higher self.
The Q’ero consider San Pedro one of the five most important healing plants from the jungle, and some consider San Pedro the greatest of all plant teachers. Shamans and spiritual leaders of the region have used this cactus plant for generations to provide personal transformation and support the path to healing. Shamans also take San Pedro themselves to expand awareness. During the San Pedro Ceremony, the Q’ero shamans guide participants in a safe environment as they experience visions and spiritual awakening.
Those who have participated in the plant medicine ceremony describe it as a process that opens the mind like a flower. Like the night-blooming flower of the cactus, so too does your mind blossom during the ceremony.
