Travel in the Time of COVID

+ Health & Safety

Your safety will always be paramount in this wild world. While we do not require a negative COVID test before traveling, we do require either vaccination or testing results in compliance with the guidelines set by the destination (each destination has its own regulations. Following the country specific guidelines ensures we can all relax on our retreat, confident that we are being responsible global citizens by protecting each other and the communities we visit.

The ease and safety of your travel are our first priority. We will continue to monitor travel advisories from public health authorities and restrictions on non-essential travel from local governments. We are also coordinating frequently with our venues and partners on location to take all reasonable precautions for sanitation and ventilation. We will revise plans (and possibly postpone or cancel retreats) as necessary for your safety and wellbeing.

Travel advisories that advise taking precautions while visiting a destination are not necessarily grounds for canceling a retreat, as travel inherently carries risks that require precautions. If you choose not to attend a retreat that is going forward, the personal cancellation policy below applies. We will communicate any specific revisions or changes to your retreat via email.

+ In case of COVID cancellation

If we must postpone your retreat due to government imposed COVID travel restrictions, we would do our best to offer you a full refund of any balance payments made and a credit for your non-refundable deposit to be applied to another Seeking Sacred Journeys retreat through the end of 2024.

Sometimes portions are non-reundable due to the fact that we have to pay venues and our partners on the ground in advance and we rely on them to reimburse on in the event of another global catastrophe.

For this reason, we STRONGLY reccommend purchasing trip insurance that will reimburse you for the full cost of your retreat in the even of a

Deposit & Reservations

+ Initial Deposit & Payment Plan

Reserve your spot with a $500 deposit per person due upon booking. The deposit is non-refundable, though in many instances it can be transferred as credit to another retreat.Your remaining balance is charged in monthly increments with no added interest, unless stated otherwise for your specific retreat. If you wish to pay the entire balance of your retreat at any time you may do so.

By confirming your deposit, you agree to the terms & conditions and authorize Seeking Sacred Journeys to charge your credit card on a monthly basis as per the specifics outlined in your payment plan - or, if you choose, for the full amount at the time of booking.

More than anything we want all women to experience healing, transformation and self love. If the monthly payment plan is not ideal for you, please reach out to us directly and we will do our best to create a payment solution that works for you.


If WE Postpone/Cancel a Retreat

+ Cancellation due to external circumstances:

If we are forced to postpone or cancel your retreat, due to a significant event that makes it infeasible to operate the retreat as planned (including, but not limited to, natural disasters, manmade disasters, disease, travel restrictions, etc.) we will make every effort to refund any balance payments made and issue a credit for the non-refundable deposit portion of your payment to be applied to another Seeking Sacred Journeys retreat within a year.

In some circumstances, we will have incurred non-refundable costs from our venues and travel providers. In those cases, we will offer credit toward a future Seeking Sacred Journeys retreat that is the equivalent value of the credit that Seeking Sacred Journeys receives from our travel providers.

We will not be responsible for any refund for non-refundable airline tickets or for any airline tickets purchased by the passenger directly from an airline or travel agent. For this reason we highly reccommend purchasing airline flight insurance in addition to trip insurance.

+ Cancellation due to too few participants:

We have never had to cancel a retreat due to too few participants, however, if we do cancel a retreat due to low attendance, we will apply your deposit to a future retreat and refund any payments above and beyond the deposit that you have paid to Seeking Sacred Journeys.

In all cases of Seeking Sacred Journeys canceling or postponing a retreat, we will not be able to compensate you for any airfare or associated travel costs incurred in connection with the retreat. We highly recommend travel insurance to cover these risks.


If YOU Cancel Your Booking

+ Cancellation Policy & Schedule

If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply, with no exceptions. There will be no refunds or discounts for:

Arriving late
Leaving early
Flight cancellations
Travel delays
Illness

We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), but we have costs already incurred when reserving retreat centers and hotels. We have designed our cancellation policy to be as compassionate as possible in the case that your plans change. But to protect yourself, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.

If you cancel:

6 months or more prior to the start of the retreat: You receive a 100% refund of the balance paid including the deposit - or it can be uesd toward another Seeking Sacred Journeys retreat.

90-180 Days or more before the start of the retreat: You receive a full refund of the balance paid and credit for the deposit (minus 200.00 processing fee) toward another Seeking Sacred Journeys retreat within 12 months from the cancellation date.

60-89 days before the start of the retreat: You receive 50% refund of amount paid minus the deposit - or 75% credit toward another Seeking Sacred Journeys retreat, within 12 months and will forfeit the remainder.

59 or fewer Days or fewer before the start of the retreat: No refunds or credits will be given. This is why we stronly reccommend Trip Insurance so that you will be fully protected in the event of uforseen personal circumstances that make it impossible for you to attend.

To officially cancel, you must send an email to Seeking Sacred Journeys stating that you wish to cancel to info@seekingsacredjourneys.com.


Travel Insurance

+ Requirements

Seeking Sacred Journeys stronly reccommends that participants obtain travel insurance for our retreats. The participant will be solely responsible for any expenses or liability not covered by their personal travel insurance plan. The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase good trip insurance.

Depending on the coverage you choose, travel insurance can protect you in the following situations:

  • The retreat is canceled due to natural disaster, manmade disaster, or not enough participants to run the trip
  • Medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become ill or injured
  • Lost luggage
  • You choose to cancel your participation in the retreat

Changes to Travel

We will make every effort to operate all retreats as advertised. We reserve the right to alter or cancel the retreat or make reasonable substitutions as deemed necessary. In the event of cancellation, our liability, if any, shall be limited to and liquidated by a refund or credit to each prospective participant.
