Treasure Beach is a six-mile stretch of coral-coloured and sometimes black sands, private coves and rocky shores. It's a place for travellers who want to discover the South Coast’s vibrant local culture, and people in search of the serenity untrodden beaches. Jake's Hotel offers an extraordinarily beautiful and natural setting for a powerful Retreat experience.

Once you arrive, you will find yourself Worlds away in a region known for its spectacular scenery, it's fantastic restaurants, a healthy holistic lifestyle, and a lively community that gives the region a colorful & creative atmosphere.


What to Expect

+ Who is this Retreat for?

This retreat is for women of all ages and levels of experience. Women from age 28 - 68 have signed up for this retreat. Our commonality does not lie in our age or race or even our background - it is a connection from the heart at the level of soul. We welcome diversity in age, race and religion, because we honor each woman's life experience and know that every one of us carries unique wisdom that contributes to the group dynamic. The sacred container of the retreat space, allows us to trasncend the physcial realm - and things like age, body shape and hair color do not matter. This is a safe and loving and non-judgemetnal group where you will feel honored, validated and accepted with unconditional love no matter what.

+ What Should I Expect?

From the moment you arrive at Jake's Hotel, you will be immersed in a mindful practice of loving self-care, compassionately and skillfully facilitated through your guides.

You will soak in the high vibrational energy, melt away stress and fatigue at the fingertips of skilled bodyworkers - and calm and settle your nervous system through gentle yoga practices, walks on the beach, spiritual connection, delicious, organic meals, connection with a like-minded community, and so much more.


Weather and Seasonal Information

+ What is the Weather Like?

The average temperature is 85°F (30°C) and sunny, with a light breeze from the East. February is the coolest month, while July and August are warmest. Rain is usually brief, dramatic and followed by hours of heavenly sunshine. The warm sea is calmest from October through May.


Cuisine

+ What kind of food will be served during the retreat?

You can expect ot indulge in fresh, creative Jamaican fare from the farm-to-table restaurant on property. Enjoy local, ethically sourced fish(from the nearby fisherman communities), and organically grown tropical fruit & veggies. .


Trip Preparation

+ What type of Electricity should I prepare for?

Standard U.S. plugs work without adapters and transformers—and don’t worry about bringing your hair dryer, Jake's has them in every room! In Jamaica, the electrical current is an average of 110 volts, 50 cycles, compared to America’s 120 volts, 60 cycles, a mild difference most consumer electronics can accommodate.


+ Are Vaccinations required?

The CDC and WHO recommend the following vaccinations for Jamaica: hepatitis A, hepatitis B, measles, typhoid, yellow fever, rabies, routine vaccinations, and COVID-19.


+ Do I need a Visa?

You do not need a visa for tourist travel up to 90 days.

+ Do I need Travel Insurance?

Seeking Sacred Journeys requires participants to obtain travel insurance for our retreats. The participant will be solely responsible for any expenses or liability not covered by their personal travel insurance plan. The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase good trip insurance. Depending on the coverage you choose, travel insurance can protect you in case of:

You choose to cancel your participation in the retreat
The retreat is canceled due to natural disaster, manmade disaster, or not enough participants to run the trip
Medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become ill or injured
Lost luggage

+ Are the rates on your website per person or per room?

The rate is per person.

+ Are fees and taxes included in prices?

Yes, the price is all inclusive of taxes & fees, except for gratuity and private excursions.


Payment / Credit Card Guarantee

+ Do you require any Deposit or Payment in Advance?

Yes, a deposit of 500.00 will hold your room and reservation in the program.

+ How do I pay for my Accommodations?

You may pay with a credit card through our online checkout or contact us to pay by another method.


Booking Changes / Cancellation

+ How do I Cancel my Booking?

Please complete the cancellation request form on this website.

+ How do I know that my Reservation is Cancelled?

When your Reservation is cancelled, you will receive a cancellation confirmation from us.


+ What should I bring?

Everyone has different preferred traveling items but we recommend bringing the following : Sunscreen Bathing Suit Sarong or Cover Up Towel(The Hotel Accommodations provide Bath and Hand towels for your room(s).
