Sheri Eckert, Co-Founder, is a Professional Counselor, Public Speaker, and the Chief Petitioner of Oregon’s historic and globally acknowledged 2020 PSI Ballot Initiative. She is also the creator of A New Way of Thinking and author of Dear Human. As the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Innerwork Portland, Sheri offers Psycho-Spiritual Counseling in private and group practice.
She has lived on 3 continents in 4 countries, affording her the opportunity to understand the complexities, mysteries, and beauty of the human psyche, as well as the need for a breakthrough in the stagnant field of psychiatry.
If you ask her what her passion is, she will tell you, “I had a Near Death Experience two weeks after I turned 16. Dying changed my understanding of life. Facilitating miniature experiences of ego death and rebirth for others is a privilege for any therapist.”
Sheri works diligently to help others expand their perspectives and derive meaning from their existence. Educating people about the importance of looking at the cosmic beauty that resides WITHIN them and the magical beauty that externally surrounds them is paramount to her counseling practice. She believes that “people can absolutely get more grounded, become more stable, and experience deep and profound calm in the midst of life’s storms”. Key to this personal growth starts with intention. With the assistance of a transpersonal therapeutic practitioner you can experience a deeper sense of mental and spiritual well-being.
Sheri’s guiding principle is that “Struggles are a part of your humanity. Inner and outer challenges will always come your way. By creating new neural pathways in the brain with mindful practices of self awareness, identity consciousness work, cultural cognitive distortion clearing, and reviewing old beliefs established throughout your life’s journey, you can re-member. Re-member to the sacredness of your universal existence. Re-member to the magnificence of Gaia’s nature, and Re-member with your fellow space travelers called family, friends, and community.”
Sheri is known for her decades of public speaking seminars on “Resolving Personal & Spiritual Conflict”, “Imagine Your Potential”, and the “Divine Feminine Within - A Mystical Journey with Self”. She regularly speaks to doctors, therapists, and global thought leaders on drug policy reform for those struggling with a mental health crisis or addiction.

Angela McKinney is a trauma informed facilitator, and mindset coach. She is the CEO of Untangle & Thrive, a company dedicated to helping millions of people emerge from hiding to build lives they love. She began her life journey from a small town in Tennessee. The trauma of her southern childhood, the grit of overcoming Hollywood, and her specialized skills for addiction and trauma treatment have contributed to the Untangle Method’s effectiveness. Angela can reach through the noise of circumstances and unearth the deeper issues that enslave people.
Angela has worked with renowned trauma psychiatrists on uncrackable, hopeless cases of extreme addiction, to create the Untangle Method, a 3 step system to help the most disorganized individuals connect resourcefully to achieve lasting change. Her "untangle philosophy" provides a framework that blends the neuroscience of integration with body-mind awareness to build the tactical skills needed to create miraculous results. The Untangle Method has helped people worldwide, promising that if you properly untangle one tangled mess in your life, you will never have to do it again.
In times of crisis or interruption, old patterns rise to the surface. You might be finding yourself more anxious, impatient, acting-out, avoiding, or collapsing. Your body may feel like a siren. Days may feel stuck, heavy, or foggy. “Relaxing,” “calming down,” or “self-organizing” is not straightforward. What should feel relaxing might be aggravating. What used to feel energizing might be exhausting. What was previously clear is now murky vagueness.
Angela believes that “we can emerge from our difficult challenges more intact and whole, fortified with hope, and a recognition of what life wants from us. We can remember our way into a deeper layer of organization, coherence, and awareness, built into nature, our anatomy, and consciousness. We can lay our wounded world to rest and create a new one in its place. The triumph of the human spirit is resilient.”
Angela is an author and motivational speaker on the topic of creative innovation, motivation and self leadership. Her message is deeply intimate, humorous, actionable and proven. You can read more about her work at www.untangleandthrive.com.
Karen Melinee has been a Yogi for 20 plus years, with a primary focus on balanced alignment, meditation & nutrition. Her Hatha Yoga classes offer a varied varied perspective and practice through a unique blending of aspects of Ashtanga, Karma, Jhana, Vinyasa flow, Anusara & Restorative techniques. She infuses her offerings with many modalities including Reflexology, Facial acupressure and Reiki that enhance wellness and maintenance of the mind and body.
Her intention is to leave students feeling empowered, centered, focused and inspired to continue the yoga practice off the mat with an emphasis on the principles of mindfulness, awareness, patience and a deep reverence for life. Karen aspires to hold space for students to dive deeper into their practice both physically and spiritually and to connect with the beauty that is within and all around.
Her passion in particular for Restorative yoga springs from her resonance with Desikachar’s teaching that each individual has a point where practice begins for them and that no two bodies are the same. She believes that “as individuals we need different poses for body equilibrium at different times during our lifetime…as we grow in our practice, it is for our unique evolution and not a competition with self or others. What we create on the mat is body nurture and a space for self awareness to take beyond the mat to our family, friends & co-workers. As a culture, here in the US, we are encouraged to do more, faster and harder. I like to take an approach in which we remain mindful in our own bodies and I am there to guide the student to the potential within their distinctive beautiful temple; their body in their own time!”
Karen currently teaches Restorative yoga in Northern California and offers private sessions for beginner students to support and instill integration of a longer term yoga practice in its different facets. She is bilingual and doing the best to expand this beautiful practice with the local Spanish speaking community also.
Restorative Yoga and Advanced Yoga Nidra Teacher, Chelsea Brooks has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. She is also trained in Trauma Informed Yoga, enabling her to work with veterans and first responders to support their personal growth and healing.
Although, she loves both a strenuous physical practice and time to sit and "be", most importantly her classes are accessible to yogis of all potential shapes, ages, and interests. Aqua Kira Yoga training has given her the opportunity to work with yogis with limited mobility, physical limitations and brain injuries. Whether teaching a beginner, vigorous vinyasa class or a course on Myofascial Release, students can expect to explore their strengths, work on personal focus, and learn to find balance on and off the mat.
Chelsea’s passion for Yoga Nidra was ignited by the teachings of Amrit Desai and Kamini Desai and their ground-breaking I AM Yoga Nidra training. Yoga Nidra is made for everybody, no matter what limitation or body type. It is a sleep based meditation technique that increases the healing potential of the body and allows access to the bliss body (where your internal programing and invisible impressions are held). Through Nidra everyone can experience a profound relaxation response that facilitates balance and restoration of the parasympathetic nervous system, which works at the root to prevent excess stress from coming back. It is proven to reduce the symptoms of PTSD, addiction, stress, depression and anxiety and insomnia.
Chelsea is available for private instruction, group classes, lectures and Trauma counseling.
